I planted my beans late, but they grew like champs. Germination was fantastic, through the wet weather and weeds I neglected to pull, they grew bushy and beautiful.
... Until... they got eaten by a critter. Just a few at a time, to give me false hope that enough might be left to still give a small harvest.
But no, they are now all gone, and with them a good portion of my will to garden.
The hungry offender is probably the groundhog who lives inside the garden fence. He is persistent, and has thus far braved all our efforts to drive him out. I even saw the fatso one day, waddling away from the blooming eggplants he'd just destroyed.
Anyone have success at repelling groundhogs? Please share your stories!
