Eddie Spaghetti, next level woodcut printing

Last weekend was busy for me. I hit three craft fairs (check out my column in the Dominion Post tomorrow for some more info on them!).

They were all wonderful, but I got a special treat at the last one - the Opening Day for Trails and Spring Handmade market at Terra Cafe. Eddie Spaghetti was there - it's always fun and inspiring to see his woodcut prints.

But this time he had an artwork like nothing I'd seen before. He put his prints into a frame with rollers on either end. Turn the roller handles, and the prints moved along. Even more special, Eddie wrote a poem that accompanied the changing scenes reflected in this artwork.

He read the poem and turned the scene while I took a video on my phone. I was so glad he did, so you can watch it. I could never do it justice with a description.
