Free Double Feature, Women's History Month

Hi readers! I received an email about this event - I think it looks great, and am hoping to attend (and to see you there)!

"Suffragette will be show for FREE to celebrate Women’s History Month at the Morgantown Public Library on Monday, March 19 from 6pm – 8pm in Meeting Room A. Free admission and free refreshments. 

This film is rated PG-13. Suffragette is a 2015 British historical period drama film about women's suffrage in the United Kingdom, directed by Sarah Gavronand written by Abi Morgan. The film stars Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter, Brendan Gleeson, Anne-Marie Duff, Ben Whishaw, and Meryl Streep.

A League of Women Voters Board Meeting will be shown for FREE to celebrate Suffragettes and the countdown to the League's 100 year birthday at the Morgantown Public Library on Monday, March 19 from 4pm - 5:30pm in the upstairs Conference Room. Free admission!

This film is rated G. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan volunteer organization working to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government. The League does not support or oppose any political party or candidate. It does support or oppose legislation after serious study and substantial agreement among its members. Membership is open to anyone 16 years of age or older."
